桃花深处，尘世外的仙源旧梦
渔舟逐水爱山春，两岸桃花夹古津。
Fishermen glide along the stream, delighting in the springtime hills,Peach blossoms line both banks beside an ancient ford.
坐看红树不知远，行尽青溪不见人。
Seated to watch crimson groves, unaware how distant they extend,Traveling the green creek to its end, no soul is in sight.
山口潜行始隈隩，山开旷望旋平陆。

樵客初传汉姓名，居人未改秦衣服。

居人共住武陵源，还从物外起田园。
They abide together in the realm of Wuling,Building their farms beyond the mortal world’s confines.
月明松下房栊静，日出云中鸡犬喧。
When moonlight glows on pines, their cottages lie in silent peace;Come sunrise in the clouds, roosters and dogs rouse the day.
惊闻俗客争来集，竞引还家问都邑。
Alas, the outside world hears of this place and rushes in a crowd,Their hosts must guide them home, pressed for news of towns and cities.
平明闾巷扫花开，至夜经年不再得。

王维的《桃源行》在题材上承续了东晋陶渊明《桃花源记》与唐代武陵源意象，借一条蜿蜒绿溪、两岸桃花烂漫的仙境，暗示出人们对远离尘嚣、返璞归真的精神渴望。诗中“渔舟逐水爱山春，两岸桃花夹古津”描绘了初入桃源时的烂漫景象，溪水、桃花和翠绿山色融为一体，富有极强的视觉冲击力。接下来“坐看红树不知远，行尽青溪不见人”借景色与无人的隐秘之境，营造出探寻桃源、前路渐深的神秘氛围。
当诗人深入山口，天地豁然开朗，出现“千家散花竹”的桃源人家。他们沿袭古旧装束，未改秦时风俗，与世隔绝；“居人共住武陵源，还从物外起田园”则点明这片乐土与红尘迥然有别，百姓在此过着与外界不相干的田园生活，恬淡而自给自足。紧接着“月明松下房栊静，日出云中鸡犬喧”通过昼夜更替里的人间烟火，让读者感受到桃源人家宁静自然的生活作息。
然而，“惊闻俗客争来集，竞引还家问都邑”转折出对尘俗之人的不速来访的慨叹。世人蜂拥而至，想要打探都邑，难免破坏了原本的空灵与隐逸，令桃源失去纯粹无扰的意境。尾句“平明闾巷扫花开，至夜经年不再得”感慨桃源一旦为世人所知，反而再也找不到了，言外之意是幻境不可久留，或者说初心难守。
整首诗在写景上承袭王维“诗中有画、画中有诗”的风格，运用桃花、青溪、竹林等鲜明意象，构成具有浪漫色彩和超尘意味的“武陵源”图画；也寄寓了诗人对官场尘扰的厌倦和对自然清净之境的向往。与陶渊明的《桃花源记》精神一脉相承，又结合盛唐风貌和王维个人的禅意诗境，呈现了对人间与世外的双向思考：越是众人所向往的理想天堂，越脆弱地难以维系，折射出古人对悠然生活的心灵追求与现实无奈。
